Fletcher tarred with the Carrick,Gibson brush
Looking at recent criticisims of our central midfield I cannot believe the volleys Fletcher is receiving.
His simple destructive game is as good as it was last season when he was chosen by his fellow peers in the team of the season.
His shortfall this season is because we did not sign a creative midfielder and Fletcher is being asked to play that role.
His long passing to the forwards is not his strength and whilst I would prefer no Carrick or Gibson next season we must get our hands on a playmaker to play alongside Fletcher in central midfield.
OR
Is the level of anti-Fletcher sentiment from our supporters an anti- Scottish thing?

No its people being simply stupid. Fletcher is a destructive CM and every team wanting to do well needs one. If he plays to his strengths, tackling, closing down, chasing the opposition, and giving 100% for his team he is a real assert to ANYONE. I agree Utd need a creative CM who can spray passes across the park as well as score a goal or two. Such a player will only complement Darren.
